摘要

According to our present observations and also recorded by earliest authors the explants-tissues of tree species are difficult to induce the morphogenesis and plantlet development. The methods and procedures outlined for the temperate trees may not be altogether suitable for tropical trees and related problems can only be solved by more research work. For the various reasons mentioned above there is a need to launch an extensive programmes on in vitro multiplication and conservation of an endangered forest species which are important economically / commercially and also to maintain sustainability of biodiversity.
