A method for change-over for kiln firing for smelting siliceous ferroalloys from carborundum method to carborundumless method includes regulation of charge, electric and electrode modes of its operation, as well as changing the amount of carbon in the charge, at that the following operetions are performed simultaneously: burning of the bottom skull by immersion in a furnace bath of electrodes with working crucibles of the space near the hearth, while reducing the supply of excess carbon in the charge to reach its stoichiometric quantities and removal of charge conductivity in the electric arc increasing to 100%, while simultaneous control action for all of these modes, including the release of metal from the furnace.
