PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing dementia through measurement of PGCP concentrate in plasma is provided to simply diagnose dementia. CONSTITUTION: A kit for diagnosing dementia contains anti-PGCP(plasma glutamate carboxypeptidase) antibody. The anti-PGCP antibody is conjugated on a ligand. The ligand is biotin or biotin derivative which binds to avidin or streptavidin. The kit additionally comprises a visualization conjugate conjugated with chromogenic enzyme, chromogenic material or fluorescent molecule. The chromogenic enzyme is HRP(horseradish peroxidase) or alkaline phosphatase. The chromogenic material is colloid gold. The fluorescent molecule is FITC(poly L-lysine-fluorescein isothiocyanate) and RITC(rhodamine-Bisothiocyanate).
