The tray i.e. height-adjustable cutting unit (2), has multiple slot-shaped openings extending as continuous surface portions over stages of the tray, where each opening exhibits a clear width. A fan assembly (13) generates airflow through the openings. A crop-mixture of grain and non-grain components is supplied to a cleaning device (4), which is provided with an upper filter (14) and a lower filter (15). The fan assembly pressurizes the upper and lower filters with the air flow, where the tray is subjected with the air flow causing a fluidized bed in the crop-mixture.
