The method involves forming a speed level and turbulence of fibrous material suspension at different sides of separation wedges (64) different. A flow channel is used in a turbulence generator (46) and/or in a nozzle chamber (58). A fibrous suspension flow formed from a surface layer of a fibrous web is throttled at an outlet gap of a headbox. A tip of a lip (60) on a side of flow forming the surface layer is stamped with a profile lip (68). A fiber suspension flow forming the surface layer toward the profile lip is separated from a fiber suspension flow forming the remaining layers. An independent claim is also included for a system for control of z-anisotropy of a fibrous material web manufactured in a fiber web machine.
