Fabricating oxide dispersion reinforced alloy, comprises pre-treating powder of alloy composition to generate mechanically alloyed powder by mechanical alloying of powder from alloy composition, and loading container with alloyed powder
The process comprises pre-treating (10) a powder of alloy composition to generate mechanically alloyed (MA) powder by mechanical alloying of the powder from alloy composition, loading (20) a container with the MA powder, adjusting (30) a concentration of oxygen of the MA powder, and post-treating (40) the MA powder of which the oxygen concentration is adjusted. The adjusting step comprises introducing component including hydrogen gas, mixed hydrogen gas and/or reducing gas into the container, and carrying out a reduction of a portion of the oxygen included in the MA powder. The process comprises pre-treating (10) a powder of alloy composition to generate mechanically alloyed (MA) powder by mechanical alloying of the powder from alloy composition, loading (20) a container with the MA powder, adjusting (30) a concentration of oxygen of the MA powder, and post-treating (40) the MA powder of which the oxygen concentration is adjusted. The adjusting step comprises introducing component including hydrogen gas, mixed hydrogen gas and/or reducing gas into the container, carrying out a reduction of a portion of the oxygen included in the MA powder, carrying out a step of degassing for separating remaining oxygen gas by holding a container in a state of high vacuum, and determining the oxygen concentration of the MA powder after reduction condition that includes temperature, duration and a flow rate used in the reduction. The post-treatment step comprises carrying out a step of filling for welding the container loaded with the MA powder of which the oxygen concentration is adjusted in a vacuum atmosphere, and carrying out a hot isostatic pressing, a hot extrusion or hot rolling of the filled MA powder.
