The crosspiece (3) has a pressed sheet metal bracket (4) fixed at an upper wall (1a) of a roof arch (1) of a motor vehicle. The bracket comprises a trapezoidal-shaped extended and widened part (4a) that is extended and widened in a direction opposite to the crosspiece. The extended and widened part comprises a square-shaped folded part (5) on its edge (4b) opposite to the crosspiece. The folded part is fixed at a side wall (1b) adjacent to the upper wall of the roof arch. The folded part extends from a lateral edge (7) of the extended and widened part.
