PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel technique for preventing scaling in reverse osmosis membrane treatment, having sufficient high scaling preventing effect and sufficiently adaptable even to the waste water restrictions of recent years.;SOLUTION: A scale inhibitor for reverse osmosis membrane treatment is provided which contains at least phosphonic acid having 400 or more of a molecular weight and a monoethylene unsaturated carboxylic acid polymer having a phosphine group. In a scaling preventing method in the reverse osmosis membrane treatment, it is possible to reduce phosphorus concentration in waste water while keeping excellent scaling preventing effect, and therefore, it is possible to perform the reverse osmosis membrane treatment that is sufficiently adaptable even to the waste water restrictions of recent years and has high performance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
