A method for prediction of the level of functional ability after primary ischemic lacunary strokes in persons with abdominal obesity includes clinical investigation, magnetic resonance tomography of cerebrum. At values of the ratio concentration of adiponektin of blood serum (mkg/ml) at first day after the stroke/concentration of leptyn of blood serum (ng/ml) at first day after stroke lower than 2.0 development of substantially decreased level of functional ability (Bartell index lower than 85 scores) in 90 days after disease is predicted.
