SELF-IGNITING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES FOR OPERATING WITH DEPOSIT-FORMING CRUDE PLANT OILS WITH HIGH VISCOSITY, SAID CRUDE PLANT OILS CONSISTING OF VARIABLE MIXTURES OF SATURATED AND UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS AND BEING PERMEATED WITH IMPURITIES DUE TO THE PRESSING PROCESS
The invention relates to a method and to the design of the injection nozzle (20) and the fuel supply system in order to allow the unrestricted field capability of self-igniting internal combustion engines when operated with problematic crude plant oils. The invention relates to the application of adhesion- and diffusion-impeding barriers in the form of thin ceramic layers (11) to the combustion chamber-side outer surfaces of the injection nozzles (20) in accordance with the PVD method in order to prevent the buildup of thick tarry deposits on the critical regions of the injection nozzle, including the injection exit openings (12). As a solution, the invention further relates to a fuel supply system which can be fitted in a simple manner and which allows the self-igniting internal combustion engine to be operated in a viscosity-independent manner and to be hand-started using a hand crank without additional aid when using different crude plant oils as fuel. The method relates to the retrofit fuel supply system which can be fitted in a simple manner according to the invention for self-igniting internal combustion engines for operating with different crude plant oils.
