PURPOSE: An automatic operation planning system using a three-dimensional model and an operation planning method using the same are provided to facilitate spinal fixation by automatically generating the optimal diameter of a screw spike. CONSTITUTION: A three-dimensional model for an object to be inserted is extracted(S10). A candidate group for an insertion path of a screw spike is chosen using the three-dimensional model. Operation suitability is computed about the candidate group. The safety margin of the screw spike is computed(S40). A planned insertion path for the screw spike is determined based on the computed safety margin(S70).
