FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: epidural electric stimulation of the spinal cord in the patients suffering a complicated superior cervical spine injury is preceded by preparing blood serum samples to be tested by enzyme immunoassay. A value of recombinant human ciliary neurotrophic factor CNTF is derived and accepted as a reference - P_ref. Similarly, on the 7^th day from the beginning of the epidural electric stimulation of the spinal cord, a value of CNTF - P_cur is determined and compared to the reference.
