A signal image capture unit (10) detects a signal pattern (11) formed of signaling infrastructure elements. A position detection unit (1,8) determines a position (2,9) of infrastructure elements. An evaluation unit (5) determines the correlation of the data from the signal aspect and/or adapted by the position of infrastructure elements based on the data messages and signal pattern. The infrastructure elements are validated based on the correlation.
