Immune system-enhancing with up- and down-regulation of important proteins in all living organisms including bacteria and eukaryotes, using thiosulfate salts or their derivatives for gene expression of several proteins, preferably detoxification enzymes to increase positive (up-regulation), or some proteins to down regulate (down-regulation), is claimed. The stimulation of immune system and a positive growth promoting of all living creatures (human beings, animals, plants, cell cultures and microorganisms) is carried out using thiosulfate (salts, e.g. sodium-, potassium- and iron thiosulfate). Immune system-enhancing with up- and down-regulation of important proteins in all living organisms including bacteria and eukaryotes, using thiosulfate salts or their derivatives for gene expression of several proteins, preferably detoxification enzymes to increase positive (up-regulation), or some proteins to down regulate (down-regulation), is claimed. The stimulation of the immune system and a positive growth promoting of all living creatures (human beings, animals, plants, cell cultures and microorganisms) is carried out using thiosulfate (salts, e.g. sodium-, potassium-, calcium-, magnesium-, and iron thiosulfate) which is a sulfur-containing compound, and the detoxification is improved by upregulating e.g. aldehyde dehydrogenases, glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and down-regulating other proteins, which comprises: (a) administering thiosulfate orally, nasally, cutaneously, subcutaneously or intravenously in humans and animals, alone or in combination with other agents, and applying thiosulfate in solid or liquid form in soil, fertilizer or carrier for plants and in growth medium for cell cultures, microorganisms and biofilms, or integrated with biomass of the microorganisms alone or in combination with other agents, (b) contacting the living creatures with the thiosulfate alone or in combination with other immune stimulants or supplements e.g. L-carnitine, phospholecithin, magnesium, vitamin-D3, L-lysine, L-proline and sweeteners e.g. stevioside or stevia extract, in doses of 1 mu M according to duration of treatment, where lower concentrations are recommended for treatment over a longer period for the prophylactic protection, and the admixed compounds comprise acids, alkali or metals, (c) further improving the properties of probiotic foods e.g. yogurt and broccoli-offspring by thiosulfate, where the cultures or offspring are cultivated or propagated in thiosulfate medium having pH of 7. The positive influence on the gene expression of organisms plays a big role by thiosulfate. The detection of the immune stimulation in the tissue is performed after ingestion of thiosulfate alone or in a mixture via the identification and the determination, and (d) optionally repeating the steps (a)-(c) using a modified form of admixture compounds comprising lactose, L-carnitine, acetyl carnitine, trace elements (micronutrients), macro elements, sulforaphane, vitamin-D at a pH of 7, without acids, alkalis and toxic metals. An independent claim is also included for endogenous degradation of xenobiotics or for innate protection from xenobiotics, comprising using thiosulfate alone or in mixture with the probiotic microorganisms or biomass components. ACTIVITY : Antiallergic; Cytostatic; Hepatotropic; Anorectic; Antidote; Antimicrobial; Immunostimulant. Test details are described but no results given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
