The system has a water-ammonia heat exchanger and a heat pump for extracting heat energy from the sea. The energy is transmitted over another heat exchanger to a circuit with liquid ammonia. The energy of the liquid ammonia is used over a flow control valve in a hydraulic turbine, which drives a generator. The liquid ammonia stands under high pressure.
