The dental method involves determining a data set, which represent the surface of an ideal taxidermy of the denture situation and guiding a cutting tool depending on the data set for carrying out the ideal taxidermy. Another data set is determined, which represents the surface of the actual denture situation. A third data set is designed, which represents the surface of an ideal molding of the dental prosthesis. The former data set is calculated from the latter and third data sets. The determination of the latter data set takes place by three dimensional scanning of the represented surface.
