The method involves agglomerating natural hydrophilic, completely or partially hydrophobic mineral grains by binding fluid by selective agglomeration according to a preceding sorting or classifying stage. Extracted agglomerates are separated from non-agglomerated hydrophilic particles in a film flow separation method. Agglomerated particles, valuable materials and residues are represented, enriched and crushed in density separation and floatation steps if a size the agglomerated particles, the materials and the residues exceeds a processing-specific grain size of a raw material. The binding fluid is oil. The processing-specific grain size is a flotation grain size boundary. An independent claim is also included for a device for separating agglomerated particles.
