The method (200) involves checking whether a characteristic fulfils an intersection condition (220), where the characteristic is detected in an actual road course to be driven by a vehicle. An intersection signal is generated (240), if that the characteristic represents a stationary traffic management feature. A movable light characteristic is represented by the detected characteristic and generated by a foreign vehicle, where the light characteristic represents different color, which move transverse respect to a direction of travel of the vehicle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for determining a presence of an intersection in a road course driven by a vehicle (2) a computer program product having a set of instructions for performing a method for determining a presence of an intersection in a road course driven by a vehicle.
