The method involves joining two components (12,14) made of powder and thermoplastic binder so that a parting line is formed between the components. A heated stamper is placed on a portion of the parting line so that a contact surface of the stamper overlaps the parting line and contacts the components. The heated stamper is pressed in the components. The components are partially melted and welded in one of the parting line and stamper adjacent area.
