The method involves compiling an application to run on a multiprocessor circuit, and dividing the application into multiple tasks that are grouped into multiple groups depending on available resources. Static allocation information is produced for groups of clusters, and applied at startup of the circuit. A failure of a single cluster is assumed, and multiple combinations of static allocations are produced in different positions of the cluster. The combination of static allocations for which a position of the single cluster coincides with a position of a defective cluster is applied. An independent claim is also included for a multiprocessor circuit.
