PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing graphene which is an assembly of carbon atoms forming a two-dimensional hexagonal network structure as a large amount of graphene at a low cost.SOLUTION: All interlaminar bonds of graphite crystals forming graphite particles are simultaneously destroyed by application of a load to an assembly of the graphite particles with respect to scaly graphite particles or massive graphite particles which are the most inexpensive graphite single crystal materials, and as a result, a vast number of pieces of graphene are produced.
