PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the mechanical loss of a permanent magnet synchronous motor conveniently and accurately.;SOLUTION: By using a permanent magnet synchronous motor 100 provided with permanent magnets 140a-140h, pseudo-mechanical loss IML of the permanent magnet synchronous motor 100 is derived in speed n₀, by a method equivalent to a deceleration method. Furthermore, dragging loss DL of the permanent magnet synchronous motor 100 is derived in speed n₀, by performing electromagnetic field analysis by finite-element method. Iron loss W of the stator core 110 of a permanent magnet synchronous motor 100 is derived in speed n₀, by subtracting the dragging loss DL from the pseudo-mechanical loss IML.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
