PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CAD data transmission/reception method, a device, a program, and a data structure capable of performing data exchange high in accuracy and reduced in data amount between different CADs.;SOLUTION: In the CAD data transmission method for transmitting CAD data to a second CAD system from a first CAD system, a computer executes: a representative point selection process of selecting a plurality of representative points from a point group included in the CAD data; a main curvature calculation process of calculating a main curvature in each representative point based on a positional relation between each representative point and a plurality of points inside the point group present around the representative point; a curvature line creation process of creating a curvature line based on the main curvature in each representative point; a basic amount calculation process of calculating a basic amount associated between a curvature line intersection where the curvature lines intersect and the representative point near the curvature line intersection; and a CAD data transmission process of creating a coordinate value of each curvature line intersection and the basic amount at the each curvature line intersection as the CAD data, and transmitting them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
