PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform migration of a file from an old personal computer to a new personal computer so that the new personal computer can be used earlier than a conventional technique.SOLUTION: A personal computer 1 specifies necessary data which is necessary for executing each of applications therein, and records the use history for each of the applications, and reports the history to a migration control server 2. The migration control server 2 calculates the use frequency of each of the applications based on each of the histories, and instructions the personal computer 1 to preferentially transfer the applications to the computer 3 in the descending order of the frequency. The personal computer 1 migrates the application to the personal computer 3 in accordance with the instruction.
