Disclosed is a method for multispectral imagery spatial resolution subpixel enhancement by spectral signatures classification. The method is intended for preprocessing of the multispectral imagery from Earth remote sensing systems. The method provides for the classification of spectral signatures of scene objects, the reallocation of spectral signatures inside the image pixels using their spatial neighborhood and mixing the said reallocated signatures inside the image subpixels. As result the enhanced spatial resolution multispectral imagery is composed. The method provides more detailed terrain rendering on multispectral images and therefore improves the interpretation possibility.
