Method for recycling urban solid waste, and the use of fuel recovered from solid waste, which includes the following steps: - reception of urban solid waste, - continuous and homogeneous feeding of the fuel recovered from solid waste in a reactor ( 8) with at least one combustion chamber, - mechanical classification of dry and wet fractions, - treatment of the dry fraction and preparation of the fuel recovered from solid waste, - the recovery of metals, - treatment of the wet fraction, - refining of the stabilized organic fraction, - reduction of the volume of bulky materials, - treatment of process air - gasification of fuel recovered from solid waste in a reactor with at least one combustion chamber, - the production of electrical energy from of the gas derived from the process and the production of hydrogen, where the fraction treatment Dry and the preparation of the recovered solid waste fuel comprises the following stages: - the removal of the metallic elements - the application of a size by means of a crusher with extensible grid - the screening with wind, - the improvement of the cleaning and of the quality; characterized in that: a) the gasification of the fuel recovered from solid waste comprises the steps of: - the gasification of the fuel recovered from solid waste by means of oxygen-biogas burners (11), - the cleaning of the gas obtained, - the conversion, by fusion, of the inorganic components present in the fuel recovered from solid residues in vitrified non-leachable mineral and metallic granulate, in which the biogas used by the burners (11) is derived from the anaerobic digestion process of the organic fraction; b) the treatment of the wet fraction is an aerobic treatment that consists of a bio-oxidation that includes the stages of: - the accelerated decomposition of organic substances for 2-3 weeks, - the separation of inert processing waste from the biomass and - the maturation and stabilization of the organic fraction for 5-6 weeks, in which said bio-oxidation is maintained aerobic by forced aeration, or by mechanical overturning.
