PHOTONIC CRYSTAL FIBER FOR ANALYZING BIOCHEMICAL SAMPLES USING TERAHERTZ SPECTRUMS AND TERAHERTZ SPECTROSCOPIC METHOD USING PHOTONIC CRYSTAL FIBER AS OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE
The present invention relates to photonic crystal fiber for analyzing biochemical samples using terahertz spectrums and a terahertz spectroscopic method using the photonic crystal fiber as optical waveguide. The present invention is to analyze biochemical samples by analyzing the variation of reflection, transmission, and absorption spectrums caused when guided terahertz waves and the biochemical samples interact with each other so that it can analyze the biochemical samples with a minute volume of a nanolitter or less without labels in real time. Also, the present invention can control the range in which the samples and the terahertz waves interact with each other by controlling the amount and position of the samples injected by a commercialized micro fluid pump and can be utilized in various fields because the present invention can be installed in an existing terahertz spectroscope or a microchip-type platform.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
