The present invention relates to a hot-dip zinc alloy plating bath having excellent corrosion resistance and surface properties, and a steel sheet plated with a hot-dip zinc alloy. In an embodiment of the present invention, provided are a hot-dip zinc alloy plating bath comprising 1-3 wt% of Al, 1.5-40 wt% of Mg, and remaining amount of Zn and other unavoidable impurities, wherein the Al and the Mg satisfy in an equality, 0.38=(Al/Al+Mg)=0.48; and a steel sheet coated with the hot-dip zinc alloy.
