The system has hollow pressure vessel (3) for converting electricity into pressure energy and vice versa. The pressure vessel transfers energy by pressing and releasing of compressed air by injecting and discharging water out of vessel. The pressure vessel and energy conversion effecting units (16-20) are arranged to be easily accessible for installation and maintenance personnel. The pressure reservoir vessels are arranged to form high capacity energy storage system. The pressure vessels are anchored on appropriately trained foundations with high holding force and high lift forces.
