The hygiene article (1) has an absorbent body (2) that is attachable in the area of the lower abdomen of a using person, where the absorbent body substantially has the form of a wedge-shaped bar, whose ends are fastened to tapes (3,4,5,6). The tapes are attachable to a fastener tape (7), which is definable around the waist of the using person. The absorbent body has a liquid-permeable outer casing, particularly made of polyethylene. The internal filling of the absorbent body is made of cellulose or cellulose material, which is particularly enriched with a superabsorbent or polymer salt.
