The transfer center has a rising belt (3) arranged for raising household waste from the ground level (13) to a loading level of a container i.e. bottom moving van (2). A ramp (10) is arranged to allow transport of a refuse collecting vehicle (1) up to a level for emptying the household waste contained in the vehicle to the rising belt posed on the ground level. The rising belt includes a marine chain arranged to drive the movement of the rising belt, where the length of the rising belt is less than 13 meters.
