PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvest quality forecasting system capable of precisely forecasting the quality at a point of harvest of rice to be harvested including dehulled rice or raw rice in a simple and easy manner.;SOLUTION: A harvest quality forecasting system includes a grain cutter that cuts body of sample grains of a large amount of rice to be harvested which is collected prior to an actual harvest date; arrangement means for rice to be harvested that arranges the cut sample grain; imaging means 51 that scans the large amount of arranged rice to be harvested to obtain cross-section images of the rice; a computer device 61 including image analysis processing means 69 that analyzes a white turbid portion of albumen in the obtained image while referring to classification category information and classifies the grains into expected ripe grain, expected white unripe grain and undetermined grain, and calculation means 70 that calculates the production ratio of expected white unripe grain within a period from collection date to the harvest date based on analysis result of the white turbid portion of albumen and the number information of the cross-section image of grains; and a printer 81 and a display 64 that output processing result of the image analysis processing means 69 and the calculation means 70 in an image, a graph or a table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
