PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying a species of genus Pythium accurately and conveniently in a short period of time, without using a special method or device, and to provide a control method of genus Pythium.;SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for identifying a species of genus Pythium X, and a control method of genus Pythium. The method for identifying the species of genus Pythium X comprises: a step I of measuring a susceptibility of genus Pythium X as an identification object to an aminoglycoside antibiotic A; and a step II of determining difference between the measurement result obtained in the step I and the susceptibility of known genus Pythium Y to the aminoglycoside antibiotic A. In the step II, if the susceptibility of genus Pythium X is comparable as the susceptibility of genus Pythium Y, the species of genus Pythium X and the species of genus Pythium Y are determined to be same.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
