MURINE MODELS FOR EVALUATION OF RUTHENIUM COMPOUNDS-BASED THERAPEUTIC STRATEGIES IN CANCER

The invention relates to a method for evaluation of anti-tumour effects of ruthenium (III) compounds. According to the invention, the method comprises the inoculation of 1 x 10tumour cells/ml in the right flank of a laboratory animal and, 4 days after the implant, the initiation of an anti-tumour treatment based on a Ru compound, by administering 75 mg/kg of body weight, 3 times a week, for 3 weeks while monitoring weekly the weight, the tumour size and the biochemical parameters of oxidative stress in serum and tissues.
