PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crack initiation detection device and a crack initiation detection method so as to judge whether or not a precise detection of a front shaft can be performed before the front shaft is broken.;SOLUTION: A crack initiation detection device comprises a first sensor 8a and a second sensor 8b each of which detects displacement in the first direction and displacement in the second direction of a front shaft 1, respectively. Further, the device comprises a vibration calculation part 21 for converting the displacements in the first and second directions into the vibration data of the front shaft; and a threshold calculating part 22 for calculating amplitude threshold for comparing it with amplitude of two times of rotation synchronous in the vibration data. Further, the device comprises a vibration detection part 23 for detecting that the amplitude of two times of rotation synchronous exceeds the amplitude threshold; and an alarm part for issuing an alarm that the amplitude of two times of rotation synchronous exceeds the amplitude threshold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
