METHOD FOR GRASSING DOWN SOILS WITHDRAWN FROM CULTIVATION IN CONDITIONS OF SOUTHERN STEPPE OF UKRAINE

A method for grassing down the soils withdrawn from cultivation in the conditions of the Southern Steppe of Ukraine includes basic and presowing soil cultivation, sowing, cultivating and harvesting the crops. On the soils withdrawn from cultivation monospecies agrophytocenoses are created using the alfalfa varieties Veselka (Rainbow) and Poltavchanka (Poltavian woman) or a reed fescue-alfalfa grass mixture with sowing rates of the reed fescue (Domenica variety) 6.0 kg/ha + alfalfa 18.0 kg/ha or reed fescue 12.0 kg/ha + alfalfa 12.0 kg/ha.
