METHOD FOR DETECTING BLOOD FLOW DIRECTION THROUGH SIGNAL INTENSITY GRADIENT VECTOR ANALYSIS IN ARTERIAL WALLS IN TIME OF FLIGHT MAGNETIC RESONANCE ANGIOGRAPHY, AND MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM USING SAME
Provided are a method for detecting a blood flow direction through a signal intensity gradient (SIG) vector analysis in arterial walls in time of flight magnetic resonance angiography (TOF MRA), and a medical imaging system using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for detecting a blood flow direction comprises the following steps: detecting blood vessels from planar images of blood vessels; calculating an SIG vector in arterial walls of the blood vessels; and deriving a blood flow direction in the arterial walls. Accordingly, the method for detecting a blood flow direction may derive a blood flow direction by using only the TOF MRA images without additional image capturing, and provide information on the same.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
