Provided are an Arduino-based security controller system using a portable terminal and a driving method for the same. The Arduino-based security controller system using a portable terminal includes: the portable terminal (100) for providing an opening/closing signal including at least one or more encryption keys including an encryption security key, an encryption position key for representing the position of the encryption security key, and a unique ID; and an Arduino door opening/closing module (200) which includes a locking device and operates the locking device according to whether a decrypted encryption security key is identical to an internally set security key and whether a unique ID in the opening/closing signal is identical to an internally set ID after the encryption position key in the opening/closing signal provided from the portable terminal is decrypted and then the encryption security key included in the at least one or more encryption keys is extracted and decrypted by using the decrypted encryption position key.
