Heat exchangers (20) for ventilation and air conditioning units are connected to air ducts for air supply and removal. For cleaning and maintenance of the heat exchangers (20), it is common to provide in the air ducts connecting air ducts (26, 27) which are removable when the maintenance or cleaning of the heat exchanger (20) is to take place. Known connecting air ducts (26, 27) have transverse end faces (28, 29), which make it difficult to dismantle and mount the connecting air ducts (26, 27). The invention provides for the connection air ducts (26, 27) to be provided with end surfaces (28, 29) running in opposite directions. This gives the connecting air channels (26, 27) a trapezoidal shape, whereby the disassembling the end faces (28, 29) not only out of alignment with the corresponding end faces (35) of the air ducts or heat exchanger (20), but the end faces (28 , 29; 35) are also lifted off each other. This facilitates the assembly and disassembly of the connecting air ducts (26, 27) for maintenance and cleaning purposes.
