PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and effectively suppress the elution of fluorine from a steel byproduct using calcium aluminate having low elution suppression effect.SOLUTION: In an elution suppression method of fluorine, an elution suppression agent containing at least one or more among CaO AlO, CaO 2AlOand CaO 6AlOis prepared; an elution suppression auxiliary agent containing calcium is prepared; a steel byproduct containing fluorine is mixed so that the total of CaO AlO, CaO 2AlOand CaO 6AlOin the elution suppression agent is 0.5 wt.%-less than 30 wt.% to total weight after mixing the mixture of the elution suppression agent, the elution suppression auxiliary agent and the steel byproduct; and the elution suppression auxiliary agent containing calcium is mixed so that a blending ratio to the total weight after mixing the mixture is 0.5 wt.% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
