Present invention discloses straffic aware (Traffic minimizes) and congestion reducing scheme using Position Aware Congestion Control (PACC) scheme in wireless sensor networks. Congestion control scheme indirectly saves more energy by the nodes during source to sink communication. Maintain the better network performance and Quality of Service parameters using PACC system. The given invention shows the reduce buffer and channel occupancy scheme for reduce network congestion and traffic. Reporting rate is a parameter which controls the rate of packet transmission in the network. Using PACC system assign the threshold value of buffer or channel occupancy to the nodes. Threshold value for buffer indicates the congestion notification bit. Buffer occupancy is greater than threshold value of buffer occupancy then adjusting the reporting rate for particular nodes. This scenario or strategy adjust the data transmission rate and reduce the traffic in the network. So more parameters of the sensor network will be improved like delay, energy, throughput, packet delivery ratio etc. Using PACC scheme achieves QoS parameters like average throughput, increase packet delivery ratio, achieve energy efficiency and parameters like delay. Proper congestion control is a notification of indication of the network for communication.
