The present invention relates to a robust face recognition pattern classifying method using an interval type-2 radial basis function (RBF) neural network based CT technology and a system for executing the same. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving image data including a face image; preprocessing the received image data in accordance with a census transform algorithm and a two-dimensional two-directional linear discriminant analysis algorithm; and inputting the preprocessed data to an interval type-2 RBF neural network classifier to learn.
