The present invention relates to an underground inclinometer having improved carrying properties and a greatly reduced risk of cable disconnection. The underground inclinometer comprises: a sensor probe having a sensor to measure a slope and inserted into an excavated measurement pipe to collect data; a data reception unit connected to the sensor probe through a cable, receiving data measured by the sensor; and an analyzing unit to receive transmitted data from the data reception unit to analyze data and induce a result. Data transmission and reception between the sensor probe and the data reception unit are performed through a power line communications method such that the cable comprises: one core wire to simultaneously perform electrical power supply, data transmission, and reception; and a braid shield functioning as a ground. According to the present invention, a battery is excluded from a sensor probe by applying a power line communications method; thereby reducing a weight of the sensor probe. At the same time, a long cable of 50 m includes only one core wire such that a thickness and weight of the cable is able to be reduced, and being able to reduce a risk of the cable from being disconnected.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
