The present invention relates to an automatic guide line installation apparatus to search a vessel and rescue passengers in a marine accident of an offshore plant or a vessel, wherein a guide line is automatically installed to support on-board search and rescue operations of rescue workers, if on-board search and rescue operations are needed when a marine accident occurs in offshore plants and vessels. The apparatus comprises: a housing accommodating the guideline installation apparatus; an automatic opening device installed on the outside of the housing and configured to open the housing when the housing is exposed to a predetermined water pressure; a compressed air injection device formed inside the housing, opened by a nozzle when the housing is opened by the automatic opening device, and ejecting compressed air accommodated therein; a buoy connected to the compressed air injection device, and configured to be inflated by receiving the compressed air discharged from the compressed air injection device and to have a low specific gravity to float on the sea; and a guideline connected to one side of the buoy and connected to one side of the hull on the other side thereof. Therefore, if on-board search and rescue operations are needed when a marine accident occurs in offshore plants and vessels, the guide line is automatically installed to immediately support the on-board search and rescue operations of rescue workers, thereby increasing the survivability of victims through rapid hull search and lifesaving operations due to the marine accident.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
