PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing irregular fouling due to suspended solids or living things in on-line measurement, and for achieving stable and highly accurate water quality measurement even when high turbidity and bacterium exist.SOLUTION: Pre-treatment equipment for performing the on-line measurement of water quality in a water type includes at least: a sample water introduction part which introduces sample water from the water type to the pre-treatment equipment; filtration means including an external pressure type hollow fiber membrane which filters the sample water introduced from the sample water introduction part in a cross-flow filtration system; a filtered water delivery part which delivers filtered water which has been filtered by the filtration means to an on-line measurement unit; and a non-filtered water draining part which drains non-filtered water which has not been filtered by the filtration means.
