The present invention provides a method for treating strawberry fruit during cultivation in order to preserve the quality of strawberry fruit after processing involving heating. During the cultivation of strawberries, immature fruit after fruit setting is subjected to a short-time warming treatment several times until harvesting. Thus, it is possible to obtain fruit in which the physical properties and color of the fruit are preserved even after being subjected to a commercial postharvest process involving a heat sterilization step.
