In a method for calculating a permanent magnet synchronous motor design based on a teaching and learning algorithm, 10 structural parameters of a permanent magnet synchronous motor are used as optimization variables. The method specifically includes the following steps: 1, a mathematical model; 2, a new improved teaching and learning algorithm; (1) a teaching stage; and (2) a learning stage; and 3, constraint conditions. A new improved teaching and learning algorithm is applied in the present invention, and optimal structural parameters for designing the permanent magnet synchronous motor are implemented with reference to Ansys finite element software, to minimize a value of a target function, simplify an actual model, lower motor losses and costs and reduce a volume, and meet a motor performance requirement, so that a motor efficiency reaches 97.5%, a power factor is improved to 0.95, and a cost of each motor is lowered by 270 RMB. The calculation method is simple, facilitates application of an actual system, and can further improve a speed and an accurate algorithm.
