The invention relates to a system, method and procedure for monitoring mine slopes in open-pit works, which generates a predictive or early alert and specifically comprises a step of capturing data from multiple sensors, such as prisms, piezometers, ground-based radar (GBR) images and interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) images, operational data, terrain data (lithology, environmental variables), historical data, and digital elevation models (DEM). The information is preprocessed and transferred to an analytical base. Two indices are constructed using the analytical base and mathematical models. The first, 'long-term index', analyses the slow movements of the slope, allowing maps of risks in the mine to be constructed. The second, 'short-term index', detects the rapid movements of the slope, determining the alarms or precursors of risk movements. All the information is displayed on a Web platform with an incorporated geographical information system (GIS) system, which allows the information to be viewed in 2-D and 3-D and other information reports to be generated and personalised alerts to be created.
