The present invention relates to a smart wearable device with a sliding button and a control method for an external device using the smart wearable device. The smart wearable device having a control unit and wireless communications unit to control an external device comprises: a first button unit (10) disposed in a part of a side surface of the smart wearable device to enable a movement direction and a moving degree of the external device that moves in an x-axis direction to be inputted; a second button unit (20) disposed within a range of 175 to 195 degrees in a clockwise direction from the first button unit (10) based on a center point of the smart wearable device to enable a movement direction and movement degree of the external device that moves in a y-axis direction to be inputted; and a third button unit (30) disposed within a range of 75 to 95 degrees in the clockwise direction from the button unit (10) to enable a movement direction and movement degree of the external device that moves in a z-axis direction to be inputted.
