The present invention relates to a protein hydrolysate of mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) larvae, a production method thereof, and a functional food composition containing the same. According to the present invention, the protein hydrolysate of mealworm larvae shows excellent antioxidative effects, and particularly enables acquisition of physiologically active peptides exhibiting antioxidative effects at high yield when produced by the production method of the present invention. The functional food composition using the same can derive high antioxidative effects, hepatoprotective functions, and stress relief effects.
